Important: A Bluetooth connection between a phone and the Weret watch is needed for the watch to receive the latest weather data. The phone needs to be within 5 meters range from the watch for Bluetooth connectivity. The Weret app needs to be running in the background for keeping the Bluetooth connection alive. Killing the app will close the Bluetooth connection. Keep the app running in the background, you can use the phone and other apps as normal.

Important: The watch crown and pushers are buttons and can not be rotated. The buttons work by pressing. Rotate them with force can lead to damage to the product.

Get started with your watch

The Weret watch is an analog smartwatch that adapts to your lifestyle by streaming relevant live data directly to your wrist. The complete watch setup is done using the smartphone application (app). The setup contains initialization and calibration of the watch hands, identification of the watch edition and variant, and selection of a data theme. Follow the steps below to get started with your watch:

A - Activate your watch

The watch arrives in “shipping mode” and is inactive. It is activated by placing it on top of the accompanying Weret induction charger, letting it sit a few seconds and then taking it off the charger.

When the watch is removed from the charger it exits shipping mode, and the second hand will start moving. If the battery level is below 25%, it will charge up to 25% before exiting shipping mode.

B - Charge your Weret watch

  1. Connect the charging plate to a USB outlet using the charger provided in the sales box.
  2. Make sure the charging plate is facing up, and that there's nothing on the plate.
  3. Place your watch in the center of the charging plate for 2 hours, until it is fully charged.

>> Attention: It's normal for the charging plate and device to get warm.

C - Download and install the Weret app

To configure the watch and enable it to show other data than the current time, it has to be “paired” with a smartphone running the Weret smartphone app.

  1. Find the Weret app in one of these locations, depending on your device:
  1. Install the app.

D - Turn Bluetooth on and follow the app instructions

When the app is installed, open it and get started. You’ll be guided through the process of connecting (pairing) your Weret Watch to your mobile device.

E - Putting on your Weret Watch

The Weret watch straps have built-in quick release pins for a speedy attachment to your watch. If the knobs on the tiny steel bars are pulled back, the spring in the bars will be loosened, allowing you to attach the strap to the watch face. Repeat the same procedure if you want to change straps.

Where can I download the Weret app?

The Weret Watch is connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth Low Energy and it has to be “paired” with the exclusive Weret Smartphone app.

You can download the Weret app in one of these locations, depending on your device:

  • The Apple® App Store® for iOS devices
  • The Google PlayTM Store for Android devices

What is included in the box?

This is what you are going to receive in the box:

  • A Weret Analog Smartwatch
  • Wireless Charger, with USB-cord
  • Your selected Strap
  • Getting started booklet

How do I change the Weret straps?

Yes! The Weret watch has a quick-release strap that allows you to swap straps in seconds.

Follow the steps below to change yours:

QUICK-RELEASE

Attach - Pull the release, align the pins to the lug holes, and click into positions.

Detach - Pull the release to the side and remove the pins from the lug holes.

What are the Weret Themes and how do I change them?

The Weret smartphone app retrieves data from different sources on the Internet.  This data is organized in different Weather Themes. A Weather Theme defines some user configuration, and how the hands on the watch visualize the data.

Currently, we have:

Wave theme: Swell height, swell direction, tide flow, air pressure, and water temperature.

Wind theme: Wind speed, wind direction, tide flow, air pressure, and air temperature.

They are both powered by magicseaweed.

Weather Theme: Wind speed, wind direction, air pressure, air temperature, and sunset.

The data comes from Worldweatheronline.

To select a Theme, follow these steps in the Weret App:

Click “Themes” tab

  1. Select a theme
  2. Click “Select theme”
  3. Select your spot on the map
  4. Click “Save”

How can I see the Weather information on my Weret?

The hands will use the outer scales and accent form to show numeric values. What scale and hand combination that the user should look at is communicated through information in the Weret app and depends on the data theme selected.

When in Time mode, hour, minute and second hands show the current time, which is defined by the time of the paired smartphone.

When in Weather Mode, activated by pressing the crown (middle button/P2) of your Weret watch, hour, minute and second hands show the extra information from your currently selected Theme - Wave Theme and Wind Theme, both with surf data powered by magicseaweed, or the Weather Theme with weather conditions such as air temperature and air pressure.

All Weret watch models are available in two versions of the outer scale, select your preferred dial when purchasing your Weret:

  • US Imperial with Fahrenheit and inches of Mercury (inHg)
Left side: air pressure 28 inHG to 31 inHG
    Right side: air/water temperature 0°F to 120°F
  • Metric with Celsius and mbar.
Left side: air pressure, 930 mBar to 1050 mBar
    Right side: air/water temperature, -20°C to 40°C

All Weret watches have the two sub-dials and the iconic Accent waveform:

Left sub-dial - wind speed (m, ft) / wave height, 0-12, linear (mph, m/s, beaufort scale)

Right sub-dial - wind origin / wave direction (compass North/West/South/East)

Accent Waveform - sun position / tidal state

Below you can see an example of how data is visualized:

The hour hand points at the outer scale, showing your selected location's current air temperature or water temperature in Celsius in the Metric dial and in Fahrenheit in the US Imperial dial. Select your preferred watch dial when you purchase your Weret watch.

Al Weret Watches have the iconic Accent Waveform. The second-hand shows the sun position or the current tide type. The 12 o'clock position indicates high tide, to the left of the center indicates flood current, and to the right of the center indicates ebb current.

Al Weret Watches have two subdials. left subdial shows your selected location's wave height (in meters or feet), or current wind speed (in the Beaufort scale, meters per second or miles per hour).

The right subdial shows your selected location's current wind origin or wave direction on the compass.

How do I switch between Time mode and Weather mode?

There are two ways to toggle your Weret watch from Time Mode and Weather Mode. On your watch, just press the crown (middle button/P2).

In the Weret App, on the main screen (tab “My watch”), you will see the “Time” and “Weather” buttons. They can also be pressed to switch the watch between Time and Data mode.

What are the watch controls (pushers)?

Your Weret watch is controlled using three pushers: top pusher (P1), crown pusher (P2) and bottom pusher (P3). Pressing P1 or P3 sends a command to the smartphone app. This command activates a user-selected function. The functions currently available are:

Media control  - press to Play/Pause and hold to skip track

Find my phone - press once to vibrate, hold to trigger sound

Pressing P2 toggles the watch between Time and Date modes.

Important - Do not rotate either of the pushers, it provides no functionality, and rotating P2 (the crown) could lead to damage to the watch.

What weather information can I see on my Weret?

The Weret watch shows the weather real-time data on its dial and sub-dials and by using the watch hands to point on the outer scale.

All Weret watches:

Windspeed, 0-12, (mph, m/s, beaufort scale)

Wave height, 0-12, (m, ft)

Wind origin (compass North/West/South/East)

Wave direction (compass North/West/South/East)

Sun position (Accent Waveform)
